캐나디언 로키 자락 캘거리에서 27년째 거주. 아내와 함께 매주 로키를 오르며 밴프·카나나스키스·자스퍼의 숨은 아름다움을 탐색하고, 사진동호회와 함께 자연 속 보석 같은 순간들을 기록하고 있다. 또한 캐나다 원주민 공동체를 방문해 예배와 위로의 사역을 하며, 로키의 풍경과 신앙을 시와 에세이로 담아내고 있다.
충북 영동 출생. 1999년 캐나다 정착.
2007년 캘거리문협 제1회 신춘문예 공모전 수필부문, 2014년 『한비문학』 시부문 수상, 등단. 캐나다 한카문학상 시부문 버금상 수상. 호서대학교 영문학과 졸업, ROTC 24기 중위로 전역,

The author has been residing in Calgary, nestled in the Canadian Rockies, for 27 years. Together with his wife, he hikes the Rockies every week, exploring the hidden beauty of Banff, Kananaskis, and Jasper, and capturing nature’s precious, jewel-like moments with a photography club. He also visits Indigenous communities in Canada, engaging in worship and ministry of comfort and encouragement, while expressing the landscapes of the Rockies and his faith through poetry and essays.
Born in Yeongdong, North Chungcheong Province, Korea. Immigrated to Canada in 1999.
In 2007, made his literary debut after winning the Essay Division of the 1st New Writers’ Contest hosted by the Calgary Writers’ Association. In 2014, won the Poetry Prize at the Hanbi Literature Awards and received the Excellence Award in Poetry at the Korea-Canada Literary Awards.Graduated from Hoseo University, Department of English Literature. Commissioned as a Second Lieutenant through ROTC (24th class) and served in the 13th Airborne Special Forces Brigade before military discharge. Completed studies at the Full Gospel Youngsan Theological Institute and graduated from Global University Theological Seminary.
He previously served as President of the Calgary Writers’ Association.
