침례신학대학교(B.A.)와 서울신학대학교(M.Div.)에서 공부한 후, 남아공 Stellenbosch University에서 Prof. Dion Forster 아래에서 석사와 박사 학위(M.., Ph.D, 조직신학)를 취득했으며, 독일 Lit출판사에서 박사 학위논문이 『하나님의 수행 행위로서 현존하는 하나님 나라와 기독교 윤리적 함의: 언어 행위이론의 관점에서』라는 제목으로 출판되었다. 그녀는 언어철학을 통한 기독교 교리와 기독교 윤리, 성서 해석에 관한 연구, 논문 저술 활동을 활발하게 하고 있으며, 현재, 스텔렌보쉬대학교의 조직신학과 교회학과 연구원(Research Fellow)이며, 여러 신학교에서 강의하고 있다.
