앤서니 르 돈은 Durham University에서 공부하였으며(Ph.D.), 2018년 현재 United Theological Seminary에서 신약학, 제2성전기 유대교를 가르치고 있다. 르 돈의 주요 관심사는 역사 철학, 역사적 예수, 사회 기억 이론, 유대인-그리스도인의 관계이다. 그는 Journal for the Study of the Historical Jesus의 편집장이며, 또한 SBL(Society of Biblical Literature)의 자문인 “Jewish-Christian Dialogue and Sacred Texts”의 공동설립자이다. 그리고 장로교 교회의 평신도이다.
